These posts will chronicle my journey as a fatally nostalgic masochist. I am continually drawn to the "old ways" and history, methods, and means of the low technology past.

Chris published in Traditional Bowhunter
Congratulations to my brother Chris for getting an article printed in the online version of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. Better quality photos may have gotten him into the printed version. Great accomplishment!

Robin Hood and some fresh summer sausage
Had some friends over shooting in my basement range on a rainy Sat. afternoon. Of course as soon as they left I drilled the small square of duct tape I was shoot at. The next arrow split the one in the bull.
The rainy day was the perfect time so smoke some fresh venison summer sausage.
Got to get that internal temp. up to 165 degrees!

First arrows are complete
My first dozen douglas fir shafts are now finished arrows. I think they will be good for elk season!

small shed find
I saw a small 6 point buck with ½ rack last night on a walk around the hood with the wife.
I decided to take a little walk around my neighborhood creeks at lunch and found this little guy. Still has some dried blood on the base.
